Minecraft is a game about breaking and placing blocks. At first, people built structures to protect against nocturnal monsters, but as the game grew players worked together to create wonderful, imaginative things. It can also be about adventuring with friends or watching the sun rise over a blocky ocean.
For the past few months, some members of the Need/Want team have been playing Minecraft every Sunday. It’s been a great excuse to throw ideas around for the coming week.
A lot of ideas have come out of these sessions, including AirStar! We thought it would be a good idea to open this up to everyone. The picture above is a nerdy “selfie” of myself, Marshall, and David from the first time we played together. Last night we tweeted the server link, and enjoyed playing with everyone.
We invite you to come and play/build/throw ideas around with us. The server is public and open to anyone. Simply enter in this server address in the “multiplayer” section. The one constraint is only 99 people can be on at any one time.
Like a lot of other things we do, this is an experiment. We can’t wait to see what happens! If you have any questions, just shoot us a tweet @NeedWantInc. See you on the inside!
